OUR STORY
The four core members of One to Walk – Tyler Casat, Shane McFarlane, Amy Rutherford, and Andrew Rutherford – met while studying the performing arts at Bishop's University and began collaborating on artistic projects soon after. Their debut album was recorded in a heritage sight on Lake Massawippi and pioneered the genre the band calls "surprise rock". That album released in early 2025 as the band made their move to settle in the west and build a career in Calgary, Alberta. Since then the band has been privileged to play some truly incredible venues and is working on a string of releases including singles & an EP dedicated to the exploration of the interplay between country and roots blues music as well as the undeniable uniqueness of Canadian storytelling.
